We spent one jam-packed day in the park, hiking the intense and steep Gunnsion Route and exploring the South and North Rim overlooks!

Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is a geological marvel known for its sheer, dark cliffs and the deep, narrow gorge carved by the Gunnison River over the course of 2 million years. With depths reaching over 2,700 feet and incredibly steep walls, it offers some of the most dramatic and challenging rock climbing routes in the country. Home to a variety of wildlife including yellow-bellied marmots, mule deer and mountain cottontails, the park offers hiking, whitewater rafting and scenic drives. Whether you're looking for an adventure or a chance to simply admire nature's beauty, Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is sure to impress.

The park is home to waterfalls, rock cliffs, marshes, and lakes, and we had the best day exploring as much as we could by foot, bike, and train!

Cuyahoga Valley National Park is a natural treasure spanning 33,000 acres of woodlands, waterfalls, rolling hills and open farmland. It is the ancestral home of the Erie, Wyandot and Seneca tribes. The winding Cuyahoga River, notorious for catching fire 13 times in the 20th century due to severe pollution, has since been substantially restored, thanks to the relentless efforts of environmental activists. The Canal Exploration Center is a great place to learn about the history of the Ohio and Erie Canal. Visitors can also take a scenic train ride through the park and see Bridal Veil Falls and Brandywine Falls.

Exploring Cuyahoga Valley NP by foot, bike, & train!

We spent a gloomy day in Rocky Mountain National Park attempting a hike to Mount Ida, driving Trail Ridge Road, and eating ice cream in Grand Lake!

Rocky Mountain National Park's 415 square miles (265,807 acres) encompasses a spectacular range of mountain environments. From meadows found in the montane life zone to glistening alpine lakes and up to the towering mountain peaks, there is something for everyone to discover. Along the way explore over 300 miles of hiking trails and incredible wildlife viewing.

With gorgeous, jagged mountains, beautiful lakes, tough passes, epic campsites, and the BEST post-hike burgers, it was an unforgettable few days!

The Wind River Range is a breathtaking mountain range surrounded by national forests in western Wyoming. Known for its stunning alpine scenery, high peaks, and pristine lakes, it's a popular destination for hiking, climbing, and backpacking. For thousands of years, Indigenous peoples of the Great Basin, such as the Shoshones and Absarokas (Crow) lived in and around the range, with villages as high as 10,000 ft. The Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho people still maintain a presence in the region and are federally recognized as the Arapahoe Tribe of the Wind River Reservation. One of the most iconic features of the Wind River Range is the Cirque of the Towers, a cluster of towering granite spires and jagged peaks that rise dramatically from the valley floor. The Cirque is a favorite spot for climbers and photographers, and its sheer walls and stunning vistas make it a must-see destination.
